Digital IC Designer – Smart Amplifiers (Principal Staff & Staff)

Our client is in the area of researching, developing and manufacturing leading edge solutions to enhance user experience of smart mobile devices. Their product lines can be found in smartphones and portable electronic devices across the world. They are investing in research and manufacturing to power future smart devices, and bring optimized high performance of smartphone solutions to a wide range of connected devices. Their global reach covers 28 offices in Asia-Pacific area, Europe and America, 9 production sites in China, Vietnam and the Philippines, and 15 R&D centres in China, USA, Finland, Denmark, South Korea, Japan and Singapore. They are looking to fill multiple roles of Digital IC Designer, junior to senior positions, to meet their expansion needs primarily in Singapore. Those with the necessary experience will be selected for the Principal Staff role and will lead the team.

KEY OUTPUTS: WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Lead a team of digital RTL design engineer working on smart device drivers.
  • RTL code level development, simulations, synthesis, P&R and timing closure of digital circuits.
  • Design for testability. In-circuit emulation and debug circuits.
  • Code functional models of analog mixed-signal circuits for chip-level simulation of mixed-signal SOC circuit.
  • Be responsible for deriving sub-modules interfaces within the digital platform of mixed-signal SOC.
  • Be responsible for the overall performance of the mixed-signal SOC.
  • Be abreast of the state of the art of microprocessor/DSP based SOC designs and creatively advances the art.
  • Work closely with firmware designer and analog IC designer to ensure smooth integration and production.

 A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS LIKELY TO HAVE:

  • PhD/Master’s Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in digital circuit design including and embedded microprocessor or DSP
  • Highly proficient in RTL design flow including an embedded processor from coding through to verification
  • Strong understanding/experience in system partitioning for good timing and area performance.
  • Successfully completed at least 3 cycles of digital RTL circuit design going into production.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new and creative designs.
  • Independent worker and ability to lead and coach team of engineers.
