Senior / Application Engineer, Gearmotor

Our client is a global system provider of innovative drive solutions and they are looking for a Senior / Application Engineer, Gearmotor to provide application support to customers in the regions.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Provide first level technical support of Gearmotor for South East Asia team (sales team and distributor)
• Liaison with 2nd level of technical support, in China and 3rd level of technical support, in Germany
• Product management of gearmotor. Including new product, phase out product, quality related information.
• Application knowhow in industry sector such as Feedmill; Crane; Waste Water; General Mechanical; Conveyor; Mixer / Agitator; Intralogistic; Food & Beverage
• Presentation to the customer, be it alone or joint effort, will be required
• Competitor Analysis will be required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Degree holder, in mechanical. Achieve good grade in final year.
• Experience in gearmotor, is a must. Preferably with more than 8 years’ experience in the power transmission industry
• Travelling in the region will be required. It will cover Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippine, and Taiwan.
• English and Chinese Fluency (to communicate with Chinese counterparts in China and Taiwan) is a must
• Technical and application-oriented person
• Knowledge in CAD drawing will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in Industrial Gear Unit and ATEX, will be an added advantage (big size of gearmotor)
