Product Manager Electronic Drive Technology (Inverter)


Our client is a global system provider of innovative drive solutions and they are looking for a Product Manager Electronic Drive Technology (Inverter) for their Singapore office.


Product Strategy

  • Trends and Innovation
  • Join local associations to report relevant local/regional trends to global product management team
  • Discuss prevailing trends and concepts with customers
  • Drive competitive comparisons of Nord’s technical solutions with those of competitors

Strategic Planning

  • Actively participate in Nord strategy meetings, collaborate on development of a local portfolio strategy
  • Discuss newly developed ideas with sales and customers, promote the most promising product innovations to global product management
  • Strategic technical analysis of market impact regarding proposed product changes

Roadmap Planning

  • Review market requirement specifications and provide feedback on local impact
  • Serve as the voice of the customer through the understanding of customer needs, and market trends

Project Support

  • Global Market Launch Team
    • Actively participate as a member of the global market launch team.
    • Review product specifications, develop and deliver local trainings for product launches
    • Collaborate with marketing team on localized marketing campaigns
    • Assist with local and regional forecasting projections
  • Local Product Phase In/Phase Out
    • Lead local initiative to launch new products and phase out legacy products through collaboration with engineering, marketing, sales, and service teams.
    • Monitor project status, hold team members accountable for deliverables, and regularly report on project status to the management team.

Sales and Marketing Support

  • Technical Projects
    • Provide continuous feedback on product offering portfolio
    • Review locally implemented solutions and determine suitability for global use
  • Cross-departmental Support
    • Support sales team by attending trade shows and customer visits
    • Provide regular reporting on the state of the local market and relevant sales trends


  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferred (Bachelor’s degree w/applicable experience acceptable)
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience with motor and/or gearbox applications, familiarity with the power transmission industry and applicable standards strongly preferred. Understanding of inverter and its application is preferred.
  • Skills and Key Attributes: Good organizational skills, strong project management skillset, ability to communicate technical concepts in writing and verbally, familiarity with data analytics software, strong proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting, familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD a plus.
