Mixed-Signal IC Designer – Audio Amplifiers (Principal Staff & Staff)

Our client is in the area of researching, developing and manufacturing leading edge solutions to enhance user experience of smart mobile devices. Their product lines can be found in smartphones and portable electronic devices across the world. They are investing in research and manufacturing to power future smart devices, and bring optimized high performance of smartphone solutions to a wide range of connected devices. Their global reach covers 28 offices in Asia-Pacific area, Europe and America, 9 production sites in China, Vietnam and the Philippines, and 15 R&D centres in China, USA, Finland, Denmark, South Korea, Japan and Singapore. They are looking to fill multiple roles of Mixed-Signal IC Designer, junior to senior positions, to meet their expansion needs primarily in Singapore. Those with the necessary experience will be selected for the Principal Staff role and will lead the team.

KEY OUTPUTS: WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of high-performance audio amplifiers ASIC, based on advanced CMOS technology.
  • Highly familiar with all types of audio amplifier designs, with hands-on design.
  • Be responsible for mixed-signal block architecture definition within a SOC design.
  • Be responsible for deriving sub-modules specifications within the block architecture.
  • Be responsible for overall performance of mixed-signal block within the SOC design.
  • Be abreast of state-of-the-art audio amplifiers design and creatively advances the art.
  • Work closely with digital designer and firmware designer to ensure smooth interfaces and integration.

 A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS LIKELY TO HAVE:

  • PhD/Master’s degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Analog and mixed-signal design.
  • Highly proficient in analog block level designs such as bandgap, op amps, class D audio amplifiers, switched mode DC-DC converters, etcetera
  • Strong understanding/experience of analog layout consideration for good performance
  • Successfully completed at least 3 cycles of audio amplifiers circuit design going into production.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new and creative designs.
  • Independent worker and ability to lead and coach team of engineers.
